This is a lovely looking antique 1896 late Victorian solid 15k gold ring. It is set with a natural ruby stone, which is flanked by six natural seed pearls, all the stones are real natural one. The ring features an old cut ruby that is gypsy set, which means it is set flush with the gold surface inside a rayed star that in carved into the ring. One thing about a gypsy set ruby is that it offers protection against damage to the gemstone. Inner band has original maker's marks - for my antique geeks, these assay marks will make you swoon. Maker’s mark reads “A-1”. This finely crafted ring is perfect for a ring stack or even engagement ring or wedding band. This heirloom is an utterly beautiful piece of history that will be treasured for generations.
Good antique condition, the shank has worn thin over the past 124 years but it is still perfectly wearable.
