Brand & Operations Assistant

23carat is an antique and vintage fine jewelry and modern Judaica brand based in Los Angeles. We’re looking for a creative, organized, resourceful right hand to work directly with the founder across content, operations, product development, and sales.

This role starts part-time, with the potential to grow into full-time. We’re ideally looking for someone local to the Los Angeles area who’s available for regular in-person work and occasional events. That said, we’re also open to the right candidate working virtually or helping with specific tasks, so if that’s you, don’t hesitate to apply.

Compensation: Hourly, commensurate with experience, plus commission opportunities at select events.

Responsibilities

Social media & creative content: Brainstorm, film, and edit TikTok and Instagram content; help plan posts and bring fresh ideas to the brand.
Customer communication: Respond to DMs, answer product questions, and follow up on customer inquiries.
Cataloging & inventory: Photograph and catalog jewelry, record product details and pricing, organize inventory, and create or update Shopify listings.
Product development & manufacturing: Research and coordinate with jewelers, manufacturers, and other production partners; track samples and timelines; and help bring new designs to life.
Sales & partnerships: Research potential retail partners, assist with outreach, and follow up on sales and collaboration opportunities.
Events & pop-ups: Help source opportunities, coordinate logistics, prepare inventory and displays, and assist with setup and selling.
Day-to-day operations: Assist with packing, shipping, local errands, scheduling, and keeping projects moving.

Who we’re looking for

A strong visual eye and an interest in jewelry, fashion, and design.
Comfortable creating and editing content for TikTok and Instagram.
Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable, with excellent follow-through.
A thoughtful communicator who can represent the brand with customers and partners.
Someone who takes initiative, finds solutions, and enjoys a mix of creative and practical work.
Experience with Shopify, jewelry, production coordination, sales, or events is a plus.

You don’t need to be an expert in every area. We’re looking for someone versatile, eager to learn, and excited to take ownership within a small, growing brand.

Bench Jeweler

We’re looking for a skilled bench jeweler to help bring 23carat’s concepts and designs to life, from first sample to finished piece. You’ll work closely with the founder to turn sketches, references, and vintage-inspired ideas into beautifully made fine jewelry, and help care for our antique and vintage pieces.

This role starts on a freelance, project-by-project basis, with the potential for steady ongoing work. We’re looking for someone local to the Los Angeles area, since you’ll be working hands-on with our pieces and meeting in person to review designs and samples. Having your own bench or studio is a plus.

Compensation: Hourly or per project, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

Design development: Translate sketches, references, and concepts into samples and finished pieces, and advise on construction, materials, and feasibility.
Fabrication & finishing: Soldering, shaping, assembly, polishing, and finishing in gold and other fine metals.
Stone setting: Bezel, prong, and pavé setting, or coordinating with a trusted setter.
Sizing, repairs & restoration: Ring sizing, repairs, and careful restoration of antique and vintage pieces.
Production partnership: Estimate time and costs, source findings and materials, and keep projects on schedule.

Who we’re looking for

Proven bench experience in fine jewelry, with a portfolio of your work.
Strong fabrication, finishing, and stone-setting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
An appreciation for antique and vintage jewelry and how it’s made.
Reliable, communicative, and honest about timelines and costs.
CAD, wax carving, casting, or laser welding experience is a plus.
