Antique 18k yellow gold lapis lazuli cameo ring from London c mid 1800s. This piece features an oval cut lapis lazuli with a jasperware ceramic cameo set in a raised Neo-Classical style profile, and a Greco-Roman illustration of a goddess and roe deer. It is very likely that this cameo, made by Wedgwood, a company created by world-renowned potter, Josiah Wedgwood, in the 1700s was set into this 18k mounting by a British jeweler in the 1800s.
