Antique 9k gold signet starburst diamond gypsy ring from 1929 -- the Art Deco era. It features a lovely bright old mine cut diamond measuring 2.5 x 2 mm set in a celestial starburst setting. Inner band has original maker's marks (for my antique geeks, this makes me swoon). Original maker's mark on inner band "T&S" standing for designers, "WH Tandy & Sons" (registered June 1896 through to 1957) at Vyse Street, Birmingham. Also marked "514".
Excellent antique condition. Would make a great signet ring or wedding band!

The history behind it: this ring is from Chester, England from 1929 by WH Tandy & Sons! In the 1700s, the British government mandated that every jeweler must mark their rings with the year it’s from, which makes this an incredible way to know all about the ring, and gives it more value! The crown stands for gold, the 375 stands for 9k, the wheat symbols stands for Chester, and the ‘D’ places this from 1929, according to the official assay office of England.
